The Age of Consent in Belize is 16 years old. The age of consent is the minimum age at which an individual is considered legally old enough to consent to participation in sexual activity. Individuals aged 15 or younger in Belize are not legally able to consent to sexual activity, and such activity may result in prosecution for statutory rape or the equivalent local law. Belize statutory rape law is violated when an individual has consensual sexual intercourse with a person under age 16.
Belize does not have a close-in-age exemption. Close in age exemptions, commonly known as “Romeo and Juliet laws” in the United States, are put in place to prevent the prosecution of individuals who engage in consensual sexual activity when both participants are significantly close in age to each other, and one or both partners are below the age of consent. We fear what others says we should be, what we should say and all that. We put the opinions of others before our own and as such we stop doing what needs to be done. We worry …
What will my priest think?
What will my mom/dad say?
What will my friends say?
What will Joe Blow say?
When norms are set, we become like animals in a herd and we get divided into different aspects, we are used to play against each other at war with ourselves.
The way we have been controlled is that they set things up to play with our thoughts and emotions. They use our human traits against us, 1000’s of years of manipulation has now taken its toll and we are living under the herd mentality.
Think of a sheep farm. Sheep are in the pasture eating and roaming. The farmer shows up and one or two sheep start walking away because they have been conditioned to lead the flock to where the farmer wants them to. All of a sudden you start seeing the other sheep following and the few that don’t blindly follow are scared into line by the sheep dog.
In our lives, many of us have become the sheep dog, we rush at and attack the sheep that do not follow into submission. We are fighting ourselves, do you realize that? Who’s vision is the norm of what is right, what is beautiful, etc? Continue reading “Society is fucked … Why?”→
The system really has not served us except for the very beginning extending a bit into a decade or so after Independence. If we look around at how our nation has been served we can clearly see that only politicians, their families, friends and special interest groups have really been served.
When a system is created where only the rich or land owners could participate when only a handful of people fit into that bracket and having that continue until today I say it is a failed system from the onset, but that’s just me.
Are we to blame? Somewhat, actually for the most part. But it starts from our forefathers. If they had really taken the time to realize that what they were fighting against should never have made it into our foundation we would not be here today. People grew up with that system as being normal and it has become a cycle. You cannot make change unless you have money and we see that play out in how people behave.
I think this problem spans a wider footing than just politics tho, however I believe that if we look at any issue in Belize close enough we realize that they are political. One of the main reasons things are the way they are is that people did not get the opportunity to lean their Constitution or their rights as citizens of Belize and still don’t.
Today we have learned people going round throwing legal jargon on radio, tv, in person and expect that people will understand. They literally use it as a tool to work the people to their liking.
Tho people are to blame for how they vote and how they think, this is the result of years of failure of the system to raise people that can think for themselves. The issue in my mind is this..
We have allowed ourselves to be raised an Ignorant, Complacent, Conforming, Submissive and Hypocritical people. Yes I did.
The question now is: How do we change when the majority don’t even know their rights?
Until we realize that, accept it and do something to change it. Nothing will. And no-one can do it for you, YOU have to make the choice to do it for you.
“The most important single central fact about a free market is that no exchange takes place unless both parties benefit.”
I agree with everything that he said. Funny thing is that even those that say there is no God keep asking why. I think that is a sign that they know there is a God and they are just putting on a front to fit in with the in crowd; a closet Christian if you may.
I know many think all this talk of Purposefully crippling economies, NWO and such are just Conspiracy Theories. But when things happen in unison, branch off and either cause or affect each other, is it really just Theories?
I have a question..
Seeing that the NAU (North American Union) and the AMERO are on schedule to be rolled out some time in the near future. How does the issues affecting Belize relate to these two things?
Me thinks we are being used as Guinea Pigs to test the results of a Nation being released of its Nationhood and a failed economy as that will need to happen for a new currency to roll out.
I had mentioned this in the past, leaders from all over the world are calling for the NWO and a one world currency.
No one asks to come into this world and no one deserves to die because of ill actions taken by teens and adults. Ever notice that everyone that supports abortion was allowed to be born? Notice too that all those that supported slavery were free?
Is this the Holocaust of today?
So stand up. Stand up for them. Do the right thing. You don’t have to agree with us on everything, but repudiate Abortion Clinics. Unlike them on Facebook. Withdraw your support for them.
If you can’t do that, then please ask yourself whether I’m your friend. In fact, ask yourself whether anyone is.
