I see Politics in Belize like a construction project..

Currently Political manifestos promise to build you a HUGE mansion, but they only plan for the foundation.

They take 5 years to build part of the foundation then election time comes around…

1. The same party wins

They promise you another HUGE mansion, but again they only plan on building the foundation; but this time it’s a totally different foundation; they either break up the one they already worked on or start a new one somewhere else . They take 5 years to build part of the foundation then election time comes around…

2. Another party wins:

They promise to build you a NEW HUGE mansion; same thing tho… They only plan for the foundation,┬átake 5 years to build part of the foundation then election time rolls around…

And the cycle continues….

If we are ever to get the mansion built we need to plan for more than just the foundation and we need to get people that are willing to say; “You know what, this was a great idea, we will keep working on it as planned to ensure it is completed.” But NO, they refuse to open their minds simply because it was thought of by the other party.
