Volcanic ash reveals rapid Ice Age climate change

The Extinction Protocol

December 5, 2013CLIMATERegional climate changes can be very rapid. A German-British team of geoscientists now reports that such a rapid climate change occurred in different regions with a time difference of 120 years. Investigation in the West German Eifel region and in southern Norway demonstrated that at the end of the last glaciations about 12,240 years before present climate became warmer, first recognized in the Eifel region and 120 years later in southern Norway. Nonetheless, the warming was equally rapid in both regions. The team around Christine Lane (Oxford University) and Achim Brauer from the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences reports in the latest volume of “Geology” (vol 41, no 12, p. 1251–1254) that within the younger Dryas, the last about 1100-year long cold phase at the end of the last ice age, a rapid warming first was measured in the Eifel region…

God Uses His People to Save Lives – A Belize Story

Faith and Farm

There are so many stories I want to share about our Belize mission trip but I think I’ll begin with this one because it had such an impact on me in terms of how God uses us when we yield to his will.

This is actually mostly my wife’s story but since she doesn’t have a blog…

So toward the end of our week in Belize, we (the group from our church) hosted a block party at the local church where we had been based throughout our tour, where we served about 600 hot dogs, had music blaring, played games, and just generally had a good time hanging out with the locals. After my wife Sonya had finished serving hot dogs, she noticed a young lady standing by herself nearby. Sonya isn’t generally prone to just go up to strangers and initiate conversations but something compelled her to do so…

Something to think about as a community

In all reality guys, we as a people need to do our part in spite of whichever govt is in power. If we learn to live within our means, become self-sufficient, stop wanting everything we see on tv so we can have something better than the other person, start eating locally produced products rather than… Continue reading Something to think about as a community

Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, ADD or The Indigo Revolution?

An alternative look at children that are often labelled with one or another mental "condition." The Indigo Evolution" is a documentary that attempts to answer the question - Are these 'Indigos' only the fanciful notions of a few individuals embracing new-age, metaphysical beliefs, or is there real evidence that they truly do exist? Most importantly,… Continue reading Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, ADD or The Indigo Revolution?

Happy Birthday Malcolm X

Born Malcolm Little and also known as El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, was an African AMerican Muslim minister and human rights activist. To his admirers, he was a courageous advocate for the rights of blacks, a man who indicted white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. Detractors accused him of preaching racism, black supremacy, and violence.… Continue reading Happy Birthday Malcolm X

Thought of the day 05-13-13

The system really has not served us except for the very beginning extending a bit into a decade or so after Independence. If we look around at how our nation has been served we can clearly see that only politicians, their families, friends and special interest groups have really been served. When a system is created… Continue reading Thought of the day 05-13-13

Think about it... What is the common factor in this equation? How do you reduce the issues? By reducing the common factor. Anyway you take it, people are the main factors and to reduce carbon you have to reduce that number. You can reduce the Services per person all you want, population will grow and… Continue reading Thought of the day 05-04-13

ST. MALACHY the last popes and the end times

The most famous and best known prophecies about the popes are those attributed to St. Malachy. In 1139 he went to Rome to give an account of the affairs of his diocese to the pope, Innocent II, who promised him two palliums for the metropolitan Sees of Armagh and Cashel. While at Rome, he received… Continue reading ST. MALACHY the last popes and the end times

Commentary: The ICJ and the Belize-Guatemala issue: A den of strategy and deceit

This past week the government of Belize (GOB) launched its “(mis)education campaign” involving the push to take the matter of Guatemala’s unfounded claim on Belize’s sovereign territory to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for a supposed “final determination”. I have pulled no punches in terms of my assessment as to why those vested with… Continue reading Commentary: The ICJ and the Belize-Guatemala issue: A den of strategy and deceit

On discussing part of our path to the ICJ

I had this discussion on Facebook with some friends about one part of the Belize - Guatemala claim and going to the ICJ.  My concern here is more to the point of we have never taken this issue to any legal body before. Today, I'll be sharing the thought of one of my favorite person instead of my own. Hope you enjoy reading it. Your government cannot protect your property by stealing half of it first.
